- Smithfield ® All Natural Bone In Pork Chops
- Fresh pineapple
- Soy sauce

- Vegetable oil
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Green onions
Smithfield All Natural pork cuts are hand selected to ensure you get the quality and taste you expect. To highlight the pork chops, use simple but flavorful ingredients for the pineapple-soy marinade.
TIP: For the best flavor, use fresh pineapple for this recipe. The tangy sweetness of the fruit helps tenderize the pork chops. Plus, we're going to grill the pineapple to serve as a fun side dish.
You only have to marinate the pork chops for 30 minutes to one hour. Don't let them sit in the marinade longer than that. The enzymes in the pineapple do their job quickly.

How to Make this Pork Chop Recipe:
- Cut the top and bottom away from the pineapple. Carefully slice away the outside and remove the core. Using a food processor, crush enough of the pineapple to make 1 cup.
- Next, slice the remaining pineapple into rings and set aside.
- In a large shallow dish, stir together the crushed pineapple, soy sauce, honey, oil, garlic, ginger, and chopped green onions until combined.
- Then place the bone-in pork chops into the marinade. Flip to coat all sides. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Preheat grill to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Shake excess marinade from the pork chops and place on the heated grill. Cook for 3 - 4 minutes on each side, rotating to create grill marks.
- During the second half of cooking, place the pineapple rings on the grill. Cook 2 minutes per side.
- Finally, transfer the chops and pineapple rings to a serving platter. Cover loosely with foil and let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Due to variations in grill type, grill temperature, and thickness of the pork chops, cooking times will vary. Refer to the FDA Chart for proper internal cooking temperature.

More Tips + Ideas:
- Serve the chops on a bed of rice for a complete meal.
- No time to grab a fresh pineapple? Substitute canned crushed pineapple and canned pineapple rings.
- Use low-sodium soy sauce. This will still give you that great soy flavor without all of the salt.
- Keep an eye on the pork doneness by using a digital meat thermometer. You don't want to over cook them.
- Letting the grilled pork chops and grilled pineapple rest for 5 minutes ensures the pork will be juicy (as long as you don't over cook!)
- Not a fan of pineapple? Try this recipe using fresh peaches instead.
