Southern Sausage Cornbread Dressing

Isn't this simply stunning? Wait until you taste it. Flavored with fresh sage, love this Southern Sausage Cornbread Dressing

Pretty sure wars have been waged about Thanksgiving Dressing vs Thanksgiving Stuffing. Where I’m from, it is always a hearty cornbread dressing that wins. We don’t stuff it in anything, ya’ll. We just serve it along all the other delicious holiday recipes. I have to admit, my recipe for Southern Sage Cornbread Dressing is just a little different.

First of all, we put sausage in it. For no other reason than the fact that I love sage-seasoned sausage.

But my favorite part? I haven’t decided yet, but I’ve narrowed it down to either the toasted cubes of buttermilk cornbread or the fresh sage. Our version of cornbread dressing smells and tastes amazing.

The Very Best Sweet Potato Casserole Ever

Dig into the best sweet potato casserole this Thanksgiving.

Yes, I’m sure you have heard “best ever” before. No brag. I can say it because the recipe isn’t mine. This best sweet potato casserole gets rave reviews each and every Thanksgiving holiday.

This recipe belongs to my mom. Well, my step-mom, who is also my mom. I have a lot of mom’s. I’m a hot mess, so I need all the help I can get. Especially when it comes to tried + true Thanksgiving classics like the Best Sweet Potato Casserole.

I have to admit, I did tweak it just a little bit. Not because it isn’t perfect, but because that’s my thing. I know you are going to love this recipe just in time for the holidays.

p.s. We have this at pretty much all the holidays, it is THAT good.

Bacon Green Bean Casserole

My biggest problem with a normal green bean casserole? It doesn’t have enough green beans in it. You know how it is really kind of soupy?

I really love the flavor of a traditional green bean casserole. The yummy crunchy onions on top are my favorite part. But why should the onions be someone’s favorite part of a green bean casserole?

After much thought of how to make this standard recipe better, I came to a very obvious conclusion.  This dish needs more beans, less “mush”, more cheese…and my BFF Bacon. When in doubt, get the bacon out. (Note to self…make a t-shirt.)

Yep. This Bacon Green Bean Casserole is better than your mom’s.

Sure, I cook food all of the time and I think the recipes taste good. (The cook might be too close to the project. The cook may not be very humble.) But do they really taste great?

When you put Pumpkin Pasta on the table, and your family goes back for second (and third) helpings, you know you’ve created a special meal.
