Festive + Easy Grinch Fudge Recipe

Cindy Lou Who ain’t got nothin’ on you! Bust out a holiday tin of this white chocolate fudge at your next Christmas party. Fun, festive, and did I mention how super-easy it is to make?

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make Grinch Fudge:

  • Christmas spirit
  • White chocolate – premium baking chips
  • Sweetened condensed milk – NOT evaporated milk, read the label
  • Green food coloring – because Grinch
  • Vanilla
  • Mint extract
  • Salt
  • Sparkling sugar + holiday decorations

You’ll also need some basic kitchen equipment: glass bowl, rubber spatula, 9×9 baking dish, and some parchment paper.

TIP: Line the 9×9 pan completely with parchment paper, even up the sides. This not only makes clean up a breeze, but it ensures you will get the fudge out of the pan easily.

How to Make Green Grinch Fudge:

  1. Line a 9×9 square baking dish with parchment paper, making sure to cover the sides and leave some paper outside the pan for grabbing onto later.
  2. First, in a small bowl stir together the vanilla, mint extract, green food coloring and salt. This makes it easy to stir into the fudge recipe later.
  3. Next, combine the white chocolate chips with the sweetened condensed milk in a large glass microwave safe bowl.
  4. Microwave the mixture for 1 minute. Stir and let the heat melt the chocolate. Stir until smooth. If you need to, microwave for another 30 seconds but don’t overheat.
  5. Using the rubber spatula, quickly work the green coloring / flavor mixture into the fudge until well combined.
  6. Spread the mixture into the prepared pan. Sprinkle generously with red sparkle sugar and press the sprinkles gently into the fudge. Press a holiday decoration (like the green candy pearls shown in picture) evenly on top where each square will be.
  7. Let the fudge set at room temperature or in the fridge until it has set.
  8. Once set, carefully lift out the fudge by grasping the edges of the parchment paper. Transfer to a flat surface and cut into squares.

This is not a hard fudge recipe, but it will set up nicely. If you aren’t sure it is setting up properly, pop it into the fridge for a couple of hours. It has a smooth texture thanks to the white chocolate and is so luscious to eat. The hint of mint combined with the vanilla is just right!

The fudge can be stored in an air tight container in the fridge or at room temperature.

To get JUST the right color of Grinch Green we used half a teaspoon of green food coloring. This worked out to 30 drops of traditional green and 10 drops of neon green. (If you don’t have neon, don’t worry. I still had some left over from Easter.)

This fudge recipe makes about 48 small squares and can easily be doubled for parties and gifting.

Tips + Ideas for this Christmas Fudge Recipe:

  • This would make a great addition to a Grinch-themed gift basket. Pack it with a DVD of the movies, some popcorn, a Santa hat, and Grinch fudge.
  • You can easily turn this recipe into “Jack Frost Fudge” by changing the food coloring to blue and the sparkles to white or silver. How fun would that be, and perfect pairing for the icy mint flavor.
  • Be sure to line your pan with parchment. It really does make this recipe so much easier to clean up and work with.
  • Combine the vanilla, mint, food coloring and salt in a small bowl before you get started. This will make it easy to add it later at the right time instead of scrambling to measure it.
  • Do not overheat the chocolate. Let the heat of the chips do its thing, just keep stirring.
  • You can speed-set this fudge recipe by popping it in the fridge for an hour or two.
  • Look for the candy pearls in the baking + decorating section of your local grocery store. Sometimes you can actually find them in the craft section, just make sure they are edible.
