The great thing about throwing a College Football Playoff Party is that everyone gets in and everyone wins. Forget the rankings. It doesn't matter what team you are cheering for. (Well...ok, maybe it does a little.)
But we can all agree that a gameday spread of your favorite beverages, snacks, and finger foods is the best way to way to enjoy all of the playoff matchups.

PLAY CALL: Toss this easy recipe into your crockpot hours before your College Football Playoff Party. Let them simmer to get the biggest BBQ flavor. Use your favorite sauce with Dr Pepper for added zip. Make them hot by adding sliced jalapenos.

College Football Playoff Party
Ingredients
For the Dr Pepper Sticky Fingers BBQ Bites
- 4 pounds beef smoked sausage
- 1 cup Dr Pepper
- 1 12 ounce bottle BBQ sauce
- 1 12 ounce bottle bottled chili sauce (tomato type)
For the Dr Pepper Touchdown Ice Cream Floats
- Dr Pepper any flavor
- Cherry ice cream
- Whipped Topping
- Chocolate Syrup
- Chocolate sprinkles
- Maraschino cherries
Instructions
For the Dr Pepper Sticky Fingers BBQ Bites
- Slice the smoked sausage links into bite-sized pieces. In a large skillet, cook the sausage bites until they are slightly browned.
- Transfer to a crockpot. Pour the Dr Pepper, BBQ sauce and chili sauce over the sausages. Stir to combine well.
- Cook on low for 4 hours. Keep warm.
For the Dr Pepper Touchdown Ice Cream Floats
- Add two or three scoops of cherry ice cream to a glass or mug. Pour Dr Pepper over the top. Top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, chocolate sprinkles and maraschino cherries.
- Serve cold.
