Bacon-Wrapped Cheese-Stuffed Hot Dogs

  • 12 Jumbo Beef Hot Dogs
  • 24 slices bacon
  • 12 slices pepper jack cheese
  • 12 tablespoons BBQ sauce for basting
  • Toothpicks to secure the bacon
  • 12 Bakery hoagie buns or large hot dog buns
  • 1 cup Grilled onion
  • 1/2 cup Pickle relish
  • 1 Fresh tomato chopped

For the Mustard Sauce

  • 5 TB yellow mustard
  • 4 TB BBQ sauce
  • 1 1/2 TB Italian dressing
  • 1 TB brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Franks hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


  • Slice each hot dog 3/4 of the way through, cutting lengthwise.
  • Cut the cheese into strips, and stuff each hot dog with cheese. Wrap with bacon, and secure with toothpicks.
  • Grill over medium high heat, turning frequently and basting with BBQ sauce. Cook until bacon is done.
  • Combine all mustard sauce ingredients. Serve with the hot dogs on warm buns along with grilled onions, pickle relish and fresh chopped tomato.
