Grilled Pineapple Teriyaki Meatballs

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 3/4 cup Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade + Sauce plus 2 tablespoons
  • 2/3 cup chopped pineapple divided
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic


  • In a large bowl combine the ground beef, 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce, half of the pineapple, egg, bread crumbs and garlic. Using your hands, combine well.
  • Portion and roll into 1 inch meatballs. Cover and place in fridge for atleast 30 minutes.
  • Oil grill grate. Heat grill to 425 - 450. Grill the meatballs for 12 - 15 minutes, turning frequently to brown all sides well.
  • While the meatballs are grilling, combine 3/4 cup of teriyaki marinade and the remaining pineapple in a small sauce pan. Heat to medium, stirring and cooking until desired consistency.
  • Remove meatballs from grill, cover and let rest.
  • Drizzle lightly with the reduced pineapple and teriyaki. (The reduction will be intensely flavored.)
  • Serve warm.
