Some days we need an easy meal option that requires zero effort. The only catch? It has to taste good. This post is a little different. We aren’t making anything. We aren’t cooking or crafting. Nope. We completely took the day off and enjoyed Sweet Earth Foods with zero effort. A few minutes in the microwave and that’s it. Just because we are a food blogger doesn’t mean we can’t take the day off, too, right?

Sweet Earth Food handcrafts globally-inspired, plant-centric convenience food. Their goal is to produce bold and healthy meals that are high in protein, fiber, and nutrients. Plus, all of their products are organic and either vegetarian or vegan. You can learn more about their products here.

We tried several varieties, and here are our thoughts:

Sweet Earth Pad Thai Bowl

Pad Thai Entree Bowl

The Pad Thai Entree Bowl is one of the best varieties that we tried. It smells amazing while cooking, and I couldn’t wait to dig in. I love Asian-inspired dishes, and this one was no exception. The flavors are well-balanced without being too heavy. I really enjoyed the tofu. It has a nice bite to it, and I would eat this for lunch anytime.

The only negative is I expected more green vegetables like the snow peas. My bowl only had one.

My favorite part of the Pad Thai bowl is definitely the sauce and the texture of the noodles. So yummy!

Pad Thai Sweet Earth Bowl

Curry Tiger Entree Bowl

Although I was super excited to try the Curry Tiger Bowl, I was very disappointed. The curry flavor fell short and the what was in the entree bowl did NOT look a thing like what was featured on the package. The sauce flavor is average, but there is way too much of it and it overpowers everything else in the dish.

The broccoli is an afterthought and overall the dish is unappealing. I would not pick this one again unless improvements are made.

My favorite part? The lentil and grain mixture has a nice texture, which is often hard to get in a convenience food.

Sweet Earth Bean & Mango Cubano Bowl

Bean & Mango Cubano Entree Bowl

Hallelujah, this one is amazing! The Bean & Mango Cubano Entree Bowl is by far my favorite of all of the Sweet Earth bowls that I tried. I could literally eat this every day. The quinoa texture is perfect, light and fluffy. The black beans are authentically flavored. And the mango blend adds just the right amount of fresh sweetness that this dish needs.

I think this bowl is great as a light meal. I would also enjoy this with a baked fish filet or grilled chicken cutlet. So good, and I wish I had another right now.

My favorite part of the Bean & Mango Cubano bowl is the way everything in the bowl is perfect together. Like a little trip to Havana.

Sweet Earth Burritos

Baja Breakfast Burrito

The Baja Breakfast Burrito is very good. What I love about it is the savory-spicy flavor. Honestly, I would eat it for lunch versus breakfast. It doesn’t have a lot of egg in it, but the savory bean taste really comes through. It is very filling, and only took 2 minutes to heat up. I’ll definitely pick up several of these for my family. Great lunch on the go, and perfect for work.

Protein Lover’s Burrito

The Protein Lover’s Burrito is also a great on-the-go quick option from Sweet Earth Foods. Very tasty, filling, and has a great flavor. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the Baja Breakfast Burrito, but I will be buying these for the freezer.

Sweet Earth Foods Product Review

Overall Impression of Sweet Earth

I will be buying these for myself and my family, and am glad that I had a chance to try these. They are a quick, convenient, and better-for-you option for meals when you don’t have time or energy to cook.

The packaging is very nice and eye-catching. For the most part, it accurately represents the food that is inside. The portion size is great. Every meal that I enjoyed was filling but not too much or too little.

Here is a complete list of varieties to look for:

Entree Bowls: Borderless Enchilada, Curry Tiger, General Tso Tofu, Bean & Mango Cubano, Chana Masala, Pad Thai
Burritos: Big Sur Breakfast Burrito, Baja Breakfast Burrito, Curry Tiger Burrito, Peruvian Burrito, Protein Lover’s Burrito, Lighten Up! Burrito

If you would like to try Sweet Earth, look for them in the Frozen Foods Section of your local Kroger, Harris Teeter, Fred Meyer, Ralphs, Frys, King Scoopers, Marianos and more! They are available nationwide. Click here to locate your store.
