Yes, I sit around and think about things like mixing whiskey into whipped cream. Call it a quirk. Call it weird. But I call it good. This Whiskey Whipped Cream is a lightly flavored twist on your favorite topping. If you have 3 ingredients and 5 minutes, you can make it yourself. Try it on pie! How about on a hot cup of coffee? A spoon maybe? Heck, we won't say a word if you sit and eat it straight from the bowl.
Whiskey Whipped Cream, because...why the hell not?
You can use any whiskey you like. Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, whatever you have on hand.
We went with Fireball Cinnamon Whisky because of the little cinnamon kick it would give our whipped cream.
The key step you MUST take when making homemade whipped cream? Use a COLD metal bowl and a COLD metal whisk. Just stick the bowl and whisk in the freezer for a few minutes before getting started.
Pour your ingredients into the bowl and get to work! Whisk briskly, and don't stop until it forms soft peaks.
For our Whiskey Whipped Cream we used 2 tablespoons of whiskey. You can use more or less to your taste, but we found this amount was just perfect.
This light homemade whipped cream has just a hint of cinnamon flavor and that unmistakable taste of whiskey.
Whiskey Whipped Cream is a delightfully perfect topping on our Sweet Potato Pie. And wouldn't this whipped cream be so divine on a hot cup of coffee?

It definitely isn't as stiff as a normal whipped cream, I think the alcohol likely plays a part in that. I've found using a very cold bowl helps. But yes, super delish. 🙂

I used powdered sugar instead of granulated sugar and the whipped cream was nice and stiff. Delicious!
